Built solid, easy to put togetherJun 23, 2008 This item is from the same company I bought my plate holder from. I was a lot more pleased with this rack than the plate tree (not that there was much wrong with the tree, it was just a little on the light side as far as the gauge of steel used.) This thing is built tough, and is large enough to accommodate plenty of dumbbells. I have a few different brands of dumbbells, and had no problems with them fitting this rack. Like the plate tree, assembly for this was really easy. There's more piece for this than the plate tree, so it took a little longer, but it was still basic. Everything went together with large nuts and bolts. The rubber feet both protect the surface of the floor, and prevent the rack from moving around. This item, combined with the plate tree, really sharpened up the look of my home gym. Everything is nice and neat and has its place.
Bottom line is I'm pleased with this item, and would recommend it. Oh yes, it was also shipped in a timely manner.
great rackJun 21, 2008 Easy to assemble. Solid as a rock. Convenient design for grabbing your dumbbells. Holds pairs, from 10-50 lbs. Good quality at a good price.
Good ValueFeb 21, 2008 I was looking for a value-priced rack for my expensive Hampton rubber-coated dumbbells. This fit the bill exactly. It is quite heavy and sturdy and went together quickly. The smallest dumbells seem to rest on the handles instead of the weights but I cut rubber mat strips to line the shelves on the rack and they now clear the rails nicely. This rack looks great in my workout room and now my weights are finally off the floor! I would recommend this rack.
Solid Build - Great priceFeb 12, 2008 The other reviews cover this item very well, so I'll keep it short. The design is well thought out and well made. The metal on this rack is strong and the design makes it very stable. The slight angle makes it easier to get heavy dumbells from the bottom rack without bumping the rack above. I don't have enough weights to require a second one, but I would definately buy another if needed.
Great ValueJan 21, 2008 I just got this dumbbell rack and put it together myself, within one hour. Ok, so my hubby had to make a little adjustment to it because I built it a little crooked, lol. I am absolutely pleased with this rack. It holds all my dumbbells, 20's, 15'2, 12's, 10's, 8's, 5's (2 pair of 3's), 2's and 1's. I would just like to say to the reviewers that said they can't store their smaller neoprene or vinyl weights on this rack, I laid mine across the rear top rail. This works great for now, since I have available space. If I ever fill it to capacity, then I'll have to find another home for the smaller weights, but for now, it works, and it's an idea for everyone else.
