 Great Bag, Lousy StrapSep 06, 2007
This bag is roomy and loaded with features; it suits my needs very well. The strap is a different story, however; the shoulder rest is made of a slippery, stretchy material -- neoprene, I believe -- so the bag bounces when you walk with the strap on your shoulder. This is kind of a cool effect, like a shock absorber, but the rest itself is slippery, so it inevitably slides down and off your shoulder. It might work if you slung it over the opposite shoulder, but I have to carry another large bag as well, so that wouldn't work for me. Another problem is that the neoprene section is edged with elastic trim -- to preserve the stretchiness, apparently -- but the elastic is not very durable. Within two weeks the stitching on the elastic was coming loose. Fortunately for me, I was able to salvage the incredibly durable strap off of the bag I had used for the past 10+ years and am now using it.
Other quibbles with the bag: one reason I use such a large bag is to protect documents I am given; although the end pocket is just big enough to cram a portfolio into, it would be nice if it were just a little bigger for an easier fit. Also, the bag tends to flex a little. It's okay for now, but I wonder if it might get worse or be prone to severe bending.
Addendum: As of late July 2008, this bag is bending more and starting to show signs of wear. I am less happy with it now than I was; it's not holding up as well as I'd hoped.

This bag absolutely, totally exceeded my expectations! And I don't even work for this company. When I first opened the box, I said "Wow!". I noticed right away that this bag is quality after I picked it up. It has more compartments than you can imagine, and what is especially cool is the side compartment for your shoes and dirty laundry. There's more room for anything you would ever want to put in a sport bag, including a weight belt, gloves, etc. There's a separate side bag for toiletries with pockets to keep items secure. I highly recommend this bag to anyone that goes to a gym.
