visible results in a short time without extreme effortsJan 07, 2008 This is a very good machine for beginners or intermediate levels and not for people with too much extra weight,in fact no home gym machine is made for extra big bodies, that's a fact, and if consumer needs or wants extra heavy duty machines either has to go to the gym or purchase gym machines that cost at least 500 hundred dollars to start.
That's why this one doesn't cost more than 150.
Paying more than that is crazy but for a 100 o 150 its worth it.
Mine has the first level resistance bands and the advanced level ones, because I have an advance training level and I was using it in a regular base for a few months, unfortunatly I had to move and have no space for it in my new place and that's the only reason why I am selling mine, other than that I would keep it because it makes a great job.
The dvd is not very fun to follow and I used it just to learn how to use it properly but after that I used to do the exercises while watching tv because is very easy to learn or with my favourite music selection.
Just 30 minutes 3 times a week gave wonderful results, specially in my behind area, shaping,re shaping and turning "up" what before was going "down" and the results last, because you are working with the weight of your own body and not with extra weight, the 'calistenics" way, that is the best way to achieve long lasting results.
I particulary never believe in reviews from companies, because many times I see them giving the best reviews to the worse products, only because they are paid for that so I just believe in real consumer's reviews and in this case I am one of them.
Again this is an excelent machine for home use individuals, and following the dvd indications is very important to learn fist of all how to position your body correctly and secondly to get the most benefit from the exercises rutine.
To achieve the same isolation of the muscles involved in this exercises, you need to do a lot and I mean it a lot of pilates or calistenic exercises than can kill your back -if you are able to do them- and the work is not as effective and fast resulted as with the use of a machine like this.
I was a ballerina for several years and I practice ashtanga yoga, pilates and biking in a regular base so I guess I know what I am talking about.

Not Recommended: Bruised Consumer Reports' TesterJan 03, 2008 Consumer Reports, in the February 2008 issue, evaluates this and says: "One of the resistance bands unhooked itself from the frame during our initial evaluation ... striking our staffer.... We confirmed the design flaw on two other units.... We don't recommend this device for anyone."
