A Workout Before my Workout...Jun 10, 2008 Once you get this stand together, it's great--looks good and is the perfect height for the 552 SelectTechs.
But boy, is it a pain to put together! The included allen wrench and hex wrenches are very cheap and make it difficult to put any serious torque on the screws. And yes, some of the holes were drilled just a little bit off-center, so it takes some muscle to tighten them. I busted my knuckles a few times, but got a great workout before I had a chance to use the dumbbells.

Nice to have, saves your back and looks good.Feb 11, 2008 I bought the stand with my SelectTech 552 dumbbells and am glad I did. It keeps the dumbbells off the floor, is much neater and keeps me from tripping over them if they were on the floor. It is also much easier than having to lift from the floor.
The construction is rock solid and of very good design. If you have the SelectTech dumbbells, I'd highly recommend the stand.

it worksNov 13, 2007 It works great with the Bowflex dumbbells. Despite the store front in which it was purchased, the over all product is great. It holds up well and it is just right in hight. I used to pick my dumbbells off the floor and then work out. What a stress it was on my back, but now they are the right hight and I only have to grab them and then work out and it feels great. Sorry, I am not a writer so my run-on sentences are not a great joy to read, but the product is great and the stand is a space saver... Is it worth the cost? The age old question. Look for deals like I did and wait for the right price.

Quality not what I expectedNov 07, 2007 The product is functional and does what it says however the right side parts and left side parts came mismarked L and R or is it R and L. One stand is about 2 inches lower than the other so I took the whole thing apart and swapped pieces from one side to the next and then the other side was short. After laying the large silver frames side by side its obviouse its not the assembly and that the parts are assymetrical. This also prevents the towel rack between the two platforms from being attached. Since it pretty much does what it is supposed to, does not cause me any issue with lifting the dumbbells off and IF it was not such a pain to disassemble and rebox I would have sent it back to get a new one.
Dumbbell adjustment mechanism sticks a little but I suspect this will losen up over time or with a little squirt of oil.
