About Everlast
The name Everlast is synonymous with boxing. Renown internationally as a manufacturer of boxing equipment, Everlast started out as a swimwear manufacturer in 1910. Headquartered in the Bronx, NY, the company was founded by 17-year-old Jacob Golomb. The son of a tailor and an avid swimmer, Jacob Golomb was dissatisfied with the durability of swimsuits because they barely lasted a season, so he began making suits that he guaranteed would last for a full year. He proudly gave them the name, Everlast. Although the swimsuits did not last through the years, the name did.

Over the next years, Golomb expanded his company into a small retail store that carried a full line of sports equipment. In 1917, a young fighter named Jack Dempsey introduced boxing to Golomb and Everlast. Dempsey asked Golomb to construct protective headgear that would last more than 15 rounds of intensive boxing training. Golomb specially designed the training gear for Dempsey. In 1919, Dempsey won the world's heavyweight championship wearing boxing gloves made for him by Golomb. Everlast became the headquarters for boxing equipment throughout the world. In 1925, Golomb designed elastic-waist trunks to replace the leather-belted trunks then worn by boxers. These trunks, now known as boxer trunks, immediately became famous. Jacob Golomb ran the business until he passed away in the early 1950's and his son, Dan, took over. In 1958, Ben Nadorf joined Everlast and purchased 50% of the company from the Golomb family. When Dan Golomb passed away in 1995, Nadorf purchased the family's remaining 50% interest. Nadorf remained the President and Principle Share Holder of Everlast until October 24, 2000.

Everlast men's and women's apparel and accessories continue today to be tremendously successful both inside and outside the ring. In addition, Everlast boxing trunks and equipment remain the proud and undefeated champion of the boxing industry for more than 90 years. The history continues, as the name states. Everlast has a traditional past and a knockout future.

Good solid product. Serves the intended purpose of providing order and easy access to dumbells. I currently use it to stack 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, and 40 lb pairs, but there is additional space for 45 and 50 lb pairs as well.

4great rack!Apr 05, 2008
hard to beat for the price; did exactly what I needed... it got my weights off the floor. I have hex dumbells from 40 down to 10 in 5-lb increments on this, along with a couple smaller sets on the top (8 and 5). the 40's and 35's fill the bottom, the 30's, 25's and 20's fill the middle, the 15's, 10's and others on top.

5Perfect Weight RackApr 01, 2008
I purchased this dumbbell rack to replace another smaller one I had. It is perfect for holding all my weights from 5 up to 45 lbs with easy access to them. It is very sturdy and easy to assemble. Highly recommend.

5Sturdy and (fairly) inexpensive weight rackMar 29, 2008
My husband and I use this rack for all our weights and this holds them all. It is very sturdy and never wobbles. It took less than a half-hour to put together.

We had all our weights lined up against the wall, so we needed a sturdy and well-made stand to hold everything. This holds all the weights and I think ours go up to about 35 pounds or so. As other reviewers noted, this doesn't hold the lighter coated weights too well. Those have handles that are a bit shorter than the hexagonal heavier dumbbells and the edges of those weights have to be put on the rack carefully since those can fall right off. And, they have a few times, so you must be careful or watch your feet! Even a five pound weight can hurt your toes through your shoes if it hits you at the right angle!

We are completely happy with this rack and I definitely recommend it. In shipping, there was a bit of damage on part of the stand-- one of the feet arrived a bit dented, but this slight damage doesn't affect the stand's effectiveness.

5Great Dumbbell RackMar 26, 2008
For the money, this was a great dumbbell rack with good fit and finish on the metal parts. The nuts and bolts were a little greasy, so you'll want to wipe them off after assembly. I've got pairs of 8, 10, 12, 15, 20, 25, 30, and 35 dumbbell weights on the rack with room leftover for heavier weights up to 50 (if I ever get there!).
