Used while standing or lying on the floor, the dome shape and unevenness adds an element of instability, maximizing effort and enhancing results. This 15" air-filled cushion has a unique dome-shaped top that mimics the motion from an exercise ball. One of the most versatile fitness and rehabilitation tools available, it can be used as a standard balance disc or as an active sitting seat cushion. It is made from professional-quality, tough, durable, latex-free PVC vinyl that is virtually indestructible. Best Uses: Active Sitting; Add to any seat at the office, at home or while traveling to mimic the movement and shape of the Fitball. The dynamic motion switches the stress from your lower back to your abdomen. This increases the strength of your lower abdomen and back muscles reducing your risk of back injury. Used while seated, it can improve alignment and enhance ergonomics while developing core muscles. Textured on one side for tactile input. Standing; Unlike traditional wooden boards, the Fitball Seating Disc Balance Cushion provides maximum instabliity to enhance balance training and core muscle development on an uneven surface. Strengthen ankles, calves and thighs whle adding an unstable element to any workout. You can easily control the balance challenge by adjusting the inflation. Each cushion is textured on one side to control tread and minimize tipping. Sit-ups, pushups, lunges and squats. This is the tool you need to take your workout to the next level. The dome shape and uneveness of the cushion provides for exceptional functional training. Use multiple cushions when doing squats and lunges for increased challenge and results. Place two under your feet when doing situps on an exercise ball or place two under your hands for pushups to add complexity to your routine. Traveling: A must for commuters or frequent travelers, it allows you to get all the benefits of an exercise ball when you're away from home. Comes in clinical non-retail packaging. |

impossible to inflateJul 17, 2008 This product does not inflate easily - requiring a pump from an air mattress or attachment from a vacuum cleaner. The hole is too small for a bicycle pump. Also, it comes with absolutely no directions. Not a good product. S Mann
so far so goodJul 02, 2008 So far this seems like a pretty good toy and it does make you more aware of your posture. It gets three stars because you can't use it until you buy a pump to pump it up (not specified in the description) and there's no choice in color. I'm keeping it but if I were to buy it again, I'd keep my eyes peeled for a cheaper one.

aweful artificial smellApr 27, 2008 Nobody ever mention this product has a very strong artificial smell. It is so strong that I can not breath. I can not get close to it. I have already paid $10 for shipping. Since mailing it back cost another $10, the only reasonable thing for me to do is to throw it away.

Best to exercise the midriff while you are sittingMar 01, 2008 Imperceptible exercise as you sit on this-you tighten & tone your abdomen & back without realizing it.
Great for posture. To use this, you have to sit up in your chair with feet firmly planted on floor. Terrific! Lessen air in pillow easily to increase training. Good for all fitness levels.

seating discFeb 11, 2008 Item delivered as promised. It's a good product, but doesn't QUITE reproduce the sensation of sitting on a balance ball. Remember, it has some height to it, so you'll need a lower chair, if you use it. I am quite happy with the item, and its versatility.
