A wonderful giftSep 11, 2008 I've tried Tai Chi before, but could never really get into it. However, this DVD is wonderful. The teacher does a good job explaining the different moves. There is a basic introductory section, then a learning section where each move is demonstrated separately. Next, the DVD moves into the routine itself, smoothly going from one movement to the next. Finally, there is a section for people who have trouble standing for as long as the session goes, demonstrating how you can do this routine while sitting in a chair.
I have arthritis in my knees, and different exercises are hard for me to do. However, this DVD has been a wonderful gift for me, allowing me to do the routine well and comfortably. I highly recommend it.

Looks what I'm looking forJul 31, 2008 Sadly, I've only had time to watch this video once, but I liked what I saw. I am dealing with a very sick family member right now, and I think if I could squeeze out a few minutes, this video would help me now. Alas, I'll have get back to it.....I liked the format and the ease of presentation. I know I'll enjoy it when I get the chance.

not worth itJul 21, 2008 The exercises might be okay, but the quality of the DVD is so bad I can't enjoy it.

A Great Gift Jun 11, 2008 I purchased this DVD as a Mother's Day Gift for (yep, you guessed it) my mother. She recently enrolled in several entry-level tai chi classes, so I sought a video that would supplement--rather than substitute--her newly found interest.
I watched my 72-year-old mother peform the techniques described in the video with a smile on her face. Although I am a far cry from a tai chi expert, I was impressed with the DVD's scenic pace and pleasant soundtrack. The instructor describes and demonstrates the movements in a fluid and friendly manner, while the DVD's layout provides logical places for the user to skip or replay certain parts within the 45+ minute routine.
In short, I am impressed with this product, and look forward to adding to my mother's collection.

satisfiedJun 09, 2008 I was really worried that I wouldn't be able to follow the video. I am not quick on picking up on moves and exercises. But this was very easy. And not at all hard on my back. Overall I am very satisfied.
