» Pedal Exercisers | | | | | | | Description: | | Direct from manufacturer pricing means you save more. 1 year warranty from Isokinetics Inc. Made of high quality 1" chrome-plated steel tubing, with 4 flat-bottom rubber feet to grip the floor, and adjustable pedal straps to keep your feet in place, we tested many models before carefully choosing this one. This model has solid construction, sturdy feet and an effective resistance knob that provides a full resistance range, from light to noticeably stiff, something we did not find on some other competitive models. This means our pedal exerciser is appropriate for elderly exercise as well as for those who might want a more aerobic workout. Can be used for upper body exercises by placing it on a table and using your arms, or for lower body exercises placed on the floor and pedaled with your feet. At 5 pounds, it is easy to move around and store. Sit with legs at close to a 90 degree angle. Start your exercise program slowly and gradually work up to 20 minutes of exercise at least 3 times a week. Please note that like all pedal exercisers of this design, the resistance knob housing can become hot after using vigorously, so take care when touching after heavy use. We found it does not heat up much when used at lower resistance levels. Don't overdo! ALWAYS consult a physician before beginning this, or any other, exercise program. If you decide to upgrade your pedaler, be sure to check out our Deluxe and Magnetic models, which we also bring direct to you from the manufacturer. | | | Features: | |
• 4 rubber, triangular shaped, grooved bottomed, non-skid foot pads for extra traction to stand up against long term wear
• Adjustable tension range from from easy to hard. Our tension mechanism provides a noticeable high end resistance, unlike some competitors
• 1" chrome-plated steel tubing is strong but lightweight: only 5 lbs
• Our pedals are better designed to accomodate hands as well as feet, unlike some competitors. Our pedal width is up to 1/2" narrower so that smaller hands can more easily grip the pedals. And our pedals have a slight dip toward the middle for a better grip.
• Under desk consideration: Standard Pedal Exerciser pedal height tops out at 13". Isokinetics' Deluxe Pedal Exerciser is best option for under desk use, with a pedal top out height of 10.5"

A nice, inexpensive little exercise bike.Jul 04, 2008 I am finding this exercise bike a good way to get in a little bit of easy exercise. I have a chronic illness, and can't always get out to do other things. I used to work out all the time, and I miss it, so this little bike is a good addition for me. I have only used it for my legs so far, but plan to do arm exercises, too (need to set up a spot). It seems to be well built, and the price was excellent. The only thing that would make it better, is if the rubber "feet" had a little more weight in them. I have found that you need to have your body weight somewhat over the bike, and I think if it was weighted down it would be possible to recline more. Otherwise, a nice exerciser for the price.
Isokinetics Pedal ExerciserJun 30, 2008 Very sturdy, already assembled out of the box. I'm able to use this exerciser, to keep good blood flow for my hip and knees, during my lunch period at work. It easily fits out of the way under my desk. The only drawback I have is with my limited mobility, it is hard to keep the pedals upright to slip my foot in without using my hands.

Good product, high handling feeJun 23, 2008 I like the peddles good when your sitting at your desk at work lets you burn some calories or when your watching a long movie. It was high shipping and handling fees though I think I paid more for shipping and handling then for the product it self.

Came assembled easy to useJun 20, 2008 I needed something to keep my body moving when I couldn't do my normal exercises, this is perfect I use it while reading or watching TV.
It does get warm as some others have stated, and for such a compact little thing it can make your legs tired really quickly.
I love having something I can tuck away but still get some good exercise.

you get what you pay for I guessJun 17, 2008 I ordered this about two weeks ago and it worked pretty well at first. I could add resistance and pedal for a pretty good while. It would get very hot but I expected that. After consistently using it I noticed that I would start with the resistance up, and after two or three minutes of pedaling, the resistance would disappear and the thing would jump forward. I still would try to pedal at work under my desk, but first the right pedal fell off and now the other has too and I can put them back on but they wont stay. I'd try another brand.
