Fine for What They AreNov 26, 2007 I've purchased a few of these, and they're perfectly fine for what they are. Mine were for a home gym where the noise of clanging steel plates is an issue. I've had some of the Kraiburgs for over a year and have had no separation of metal and rubber, though I'm careful whenever I use the 10-pounders; 25s and 45s seem more robust.
After I bought my first set, I decided not to let another in the house without a garage sponge bath in Simple Green. This seems to minimize the rubber-product odor, but some who visit my house still seem sensitive to it.
