excellent productAug 29, 2008 I was a little suspicious the first time I heard it can be set up in 5 seconds. I can set it up probably in 3 seconds. Anyways, I can't imagine an easier way to do pullups in my room. I use this product along with my Bowflex Dumbbell and found them really strengthening my arms.
Great WorkoutJul 27, 2008 This is a great workout. I had been trying to look for a good pull up exercise without installing anything onto a wall. And now I have found it. Get it if you want to get the perfect work out.

Good if you are on the move or renting.Jul 24, 2008 I don't really enjoy doing pullups with this unit.
I can only do about 8 pullups, but since my current exercise program has me doing about 40 a day 2 times a week this is quite difficult. With a pullup bar you can put your feet on a chair to limit the strain, but that is impossible with this unit. Also, in my house I can only use it on the front door as it requires a very thick door for proper use.
On the bright side, the product is very small and travel-ready. If you can already do 10+ pull ups for 2 reps it is an excellent product, but if you are just starting out I would recommend bands or a pullup bar instead. I would get a pull up bar, but as a renter I would rather not drill holes in any door frames!
well made but afraid that my door cant handle itJul 24, 2008 just what the title says, basically. however, if you're stuck between this and an expensive chin up bar, i recommend you purchase this. much easier "installation" and removal because it requires absolutely no nuts and bolts, just a locked door. cheaper too

The BEST Chip-Up BarsJun 23, 2008 I've probably bought 3 different pull-up bars over the years, and this is by far best for a number of reasons:
1) Ease of setup/takedown; 5 sec max
2) No permanant damange to door or scraching of paint/damge to wood frame
3) Portability; I carry them to work and home daily; I've also taken them on trips and have had great work-outs
4) High Qualtiy: I've had them for a few months and with daily use show no signs of breaking soon.
There is no downside. I wish I would have made these bars, such a simple yet functional idea!
