The watch tracks such details as average heart rate, maximum heart rate during exercise, percentage of maximum heart rate achieved, total fat burn, and total calories burned. The high/low target zone alarm, meanwhile, lets you know when you've reached your target rate or whether you're loafing a bit too much during a run. Perhaps the handiest feature, however, is the hybrid functionality, which lets you measure your heart rate from either your wrist or your chest. Reebok's United Kingdom-based ancestor company was founded for one of the best reasons possible: athletes wanted to run faster. So, in the 1890s, Joseph William Foster made some of the first known running shoes with spikes in them. By 1895, he was in business making shoes by hand for top runners; and before long his fledgling company, J.W. Foster and Sons, developed an international clientele of distinguished athletes. The watch supports a chest belt as well as without.
Using the belt strap has been an overall good experience. The watch gets the signals even in a busy gym with other belt-strap wearers. Whats more some of the machines I work on like the ellipticals with touch based heart sensors also seem to receive signals from the belt and display the right heart rate.
First few days I did not have much success with the belt until I followed the instructions and moistened the sensors with saliva instead of water.
The watch I am not too thrilled by. Its very difficult to get a reading by pressing the heart rate button (when not wearing a belt). Almost impossible if I am even slightly moving my hands (like one would while exercising).
The watch does not display heart rate unless the back of the watch is firmly planted against my wrist. So , I have to strap extra tight. Unfortunately, this is the case even when its getting signals from the belt.
I have been using regularly and apart from the problem noted above, this monitor appears to work well.

For the monitor watches this one would be first pick. Iy has optional use of chest strap yet I have enjoyed the use without. I would recommend this one!
