Great Exercise BikeMay 03, 2008 I've used a wide selection of exercise equipment and never enjoyed working out as much as with the Schwinn 203 Recumbent Bike. It's well made and very quiet. The recumbent position is more comfortable than a regular bike seat. The computer is a little complex to learn, but you get used to it. I highly recommend it.

SchwinnerApr 28, 2008 I purchased this unit a week or two ago and so far think very highly of it. It shipped Amazon Prime and the shipper, ABF I think, called to arrange delivery and met me at home during my lunch hour, delivering it right to my living room floor. It was delivered in perfect condition.
I worked on the assembly a little bit each night. I'm over 50 and a woman, but I did manage to get it together though some of it was difficult and heavy. I'm not good at exploded diagrams, but with a few upside-down stabilizer bars or wrong washer mistakes, I did complete the assembly.
I can't get the computer to work yet, I think I didn't push hard enough to connect the circuits on the wires, but after I take a break from serial-installing nights, I'm going to take the upper mast off and reconnect the pieces. Actual instructions on how to connect these pieces would be nice. I fiddled with it for about 10 minutes before getting it connected and, obviously, I didn't do it correctly because the computer doesn't work.
Having used it manually for three days, I will say it is EXCEPTIONALLY quiet and very comfortable to use. I banged up my right knee pretty good and found I couldn't walk more than 10 minutes without it really hurting. However, I can pedal for 30+ minutes several times a day and not have a twinge. The added convenience of being able to watch the Mets games and not miss an inning while I exercise is perhaps the most attractive quality of the entire bike.
I would recommend this for anyone who wants a cardio work-out in the comfort of their home.
Good Product bad delieveryApr 18, 2008 The packing carton looked like it had passed thru a war zone. Inner foam mostly cracked. Bike however only had a couple of minor scratches. Missing only one screw for assembly. Bike works well. Manual is small and marginal, fails to explain functions of bike.
Just like the GymMar 11, 2008 This is an excellent bike, just like the gym except it is silent, smooth and doesn't have somebody elses cooties on it, highly recommended to work up a good sweat at home.
Quiet, comfortable, and sturdyFeb 27, 2008 The Good:
Very Quiet! Wife exercises while I'm on conference calls without my clients hearing. Good pre-programmed workouts, really give you a workout and there are enough of them to keep it new (which is important for me in a stationary bike). It's sturdy and very durable. Four people in our house use it, so it gets about 5-12 rides a week, over 9 months, and still works like the first day. Extremely comfortable for my wife's chronic lower back problems.
Bad:
Very Heavy. You do have to assemble it, so hopefully you've got someone that enjoys that kind of thing handy (and mine never started to clunk like davetheadventurer!).
Recommend:
I'd recommend it for certain. It seems like it'll be with me for a long time.
