 Great machine for the priceApr 30, 2008
I was pleased to find this machine at Amazon $200 cheaper than at our local department store. The shipment arrived within a few days and was fairly easy to assemble. The machine provides an excellent workout and is fairly quiet, with the exception of a few random "clicks" here and there. We did not want to spend over $1000 on a workout machine and found that, for the price, this is a great elliptical machine that meets our needs for periodic home workouts!

Ordering the elliptical was uncomplicated! Assembly was uncomplicated!!
Delivery arrangements were excellent!!! All in all I would recommend buying the product through Amazon!!!!

I purchased the Schwinn 430 elliptical the end of February. I wanted to get "fit" before my vacation May 9th. Well too bad after 1 month, the machine started making the loudest screeching noise you've ever heard! I called Schwinn (you actually call Nautilus)and we had to try to do a phone diagnosis. The rep then said that I needed a complete new wheel assembly and that a technician would call me to make an appt to come to my home to replace in about one week. Well, it's been 10 days so I called again. Now the rep says, "No the technician only comes after all the parts are delivered to your house, and your parts are on backorder until the middle of May." Great!! No one would have contacted me to let me know, and now the machine is basically useless to me. So much for getting "fit" before vacation. Very bad customer service with Nautilus, she wasn't even apologetic at all. I would not purchase this item!!

This is an amazing elliptical and I got it for a great price. I am a physically fit female about 150 lbs and this machine really does the trip for those days you just want to stay in instead of hitting the gym.
Pros: quiet, multiple settings, gives me a great workout, solid construction, doesn't wiggle when aggressively using it
Cons: the instructions are horrible - they mislabeled all the parts and I ended up having to figure out how to put everything together myself. Sometimes it makes a squeaking sound - seems to be coming from the part where the peddles meet the track.

I bought this item on a Monday and it was at my home by Friday! WOW! I am a 31 year old, 115 lbs, female, and it took me about 2 hours to put this together all by myself. Directions were very clear and easy to follow. All pieces were marked as should be. I haven't actually fully used the machine, but wanted to get this rating in to help others. Got on the machine after I put it together and it seems very stable and quiet. Will write again after I put it to good use for the first time. Also, the machine looks very professional, not cheap like some I saw in the stores. Even my 13 year old daughter is excited to try the machine. Make sure to look through all of the styrofoam to find all pieces!
OK, used the elliptical and it is still wonderful! The six different programs offer variety. Quiet, smooth ride all the way through. For the price, and structure I am SO impressed!
