Work Great! Jun 24, 2010 I was looking for adjustable dumbbells to use with a balance ball workout. These are have worked very well. I especially like the grips, they're a decent size, not too thin like some dumbbells. For those looking for quick changes in weight increments, these might not be the best match, but they are a quality product and the price is right.

Very Dissapointed Jun 22, 2010 My first attempt to use them and they're already broken. On just one side of one of the dumbells, the last weight wont come off no matter what setting the weight is set at. Very dissapointing for such an expensive pair of free weights. In addition, the paint on the weights appears to be cracked all around, not a solid coating like any other set I've ever used/purchased.
During my first workout with these weights, I noticed my hands smelled distinctly like I had just shot a firearm. I'm an avid shooter and even after firing a few hundred rounds, my hands have never smelled this "strong." Since I also noticed all the paint cracking, the first thought that came to mind was "is this LEAD?"
I am very concerned that this product may be extremely unsafe for my health, especially after wiping my face and hands with the same towel after using them.

Stamina Versa_Bell II May 15, 2010 Compact-which I like. My only complaint is that the weights sometimes stick to the bar so you have to shake or rattle it to get the weights to seat or unstick. Perhaps this will get better with use. (Like my muscles)
Versa-Bell II Apr 28, 2010 I am surprised to see this many positive reviews for this product. I bought this product to use in conjunction with P90X. With P90X you need to be able to switch in between the different weights quickly, which is just not possible with these barbells. It takes so much effort just to put the weights back into the rack. For some reason the bars just don't slide nicely back into place; you have to wiggle them quite fiercly to get them back onto the stand. If anyone knows of any other good adjustable weights that aren't such a hassle to adjust, please let me know.
Good barbell set. Compact, and sturdy. Apr 24, 2010 Good barbell set, I have used them for about 2 months now.
Sturdy, compact, about the same size as a regular 20-25 lb dumbell.
As other reviewers mention, you have to turn the ends to dial in the weight.
It is hard if not impossible to see the weight numbers.
However, for the cost, and pretty decent quality, I recommend them.
TIP: Turn the ends in the opposite direction as the other side until you hear it click.
Turning your hand clockwise adds the weight, and counter-clockwise removes it. Each click is 5 lbs.
So with one bar on each side, it's 10lbs, 2 bars on each side is 15 lbs, 3 is 20 and 4 is 25.
Pretty easy.
