a little tricky to get used to in the beginning but great once you get the hang of it. the straps are very long and slip out of the small strap often. the grey also gets dirty quickly but can be cleaned easily

I got my HRM last week sometime and fiddled with it. I don't know why everyone thinks it's so hard to get to know, but it really took me maybe 1/2 hr to 45 min (which seemed like nothing compared to the reviews )to figure out how to use everything, I actually found it pretty easy compared to all of the reviews on the watch. Right when you turn it on, it prompts you to add all of your personal information, so it's kinda hard to screw that up. I went for a 2 mile walk after I was done setting it up and it worked perfectly. I couldn't be happier. Also, don't let the picture fool you, it doesn't look as expensive as the picture, but it gets the job done.

I've been using this monitor for over three months with little complaint. The instruction manual is a bit tedious. However, I carry the belt and the watch in the bottom of my PURSE every single day and have yet to get a scratch on it.

I chose the Suunto for myself after I bought my brother in-law one last year for Christmas. He is an avid cyclist and uses all the functions that SUUNTO offers for monitoring heart rate, etc. He absolutely raved about it and I bought mine here on Amazon (even cheaper than the one I bought him with the discount offered at my local outdoor store). However I only bought for the time/alarm features which work great.

I couldn't even figure out how to program this watch. I just wanted a sports watch with a timer for my exercise but thought the calorie counter would be a good feature too. I couldn't even figure out how to set anything but the time. Too complicated for me.....maybe better for someone that is into really serious workouts.
