 Old Standard is Still the BestJul 14, 2008
This is exactly what I used at a gym over a dozen years ago and it still is the number one type/brand today in gyms and in homes.
This item is extremely well made, extremely simple to adjust as needed and all things snap in place. The plastic is very hard and not easy to break with normal use and simple care when storing.
You can purchase additional blocks to increase the height of the deck making for even tougher aerobic workouts. This deck can also be used as a simple flat bench to do dumbell exercises thus giving you a aerobic when doing STEP and anaerobic when doing weighted exercises. You would be able to do full body with the dumbells. Keep the deck at it's lowest and do leg lunges for glutes, hams, and calves. You really have allot of options with just this one piece of equipment.
This does not replace a full gym by any means but you could easily utilize this and do some serious workouts in your home and with minimal space required.
As for the person who complained about the cost, yes it isn't cheap, however, a simple pine box would NOT be capable of doing what this product is made for and it's great durability. Shop around as you may find it cheaper and often Amazon prices fluxuate as well with most things they sell.

Just bought this step for my wife. Pulled it out of the box. No instruction manual or warranty slip was included. Not sure if its supposed to or not?
The pieces fit together OK but are a little loose. I would have hoped for a better "click" in place or snap so it doesnt slide ever so slightly.
Works but was expecting a little better interlock system for this price.
Make sure you put a towel down on the non-skid top if you plan to do push ups or lay down for bench press or do those behind dips with your hands behind you as it will make nasty marks in your hands as the non-skid rubber top really digs in.
Still a good size step for a good price.
Would have liked it to have 1 one riser included as it seems its still a little short. If you measure the 8" max height its a little shy of 8"

I love this step. It was worth every penny to me. I use it all the time for my advanced step workouts. I used to do the firm all the time, but have recently converted to Cathe workouts which use this step. I can't tell you how happy I am with this step. It is sturdy, stable, and the color is nice and neutral - compared to my other firm steps and the old version of this one. I know this step will last for a very long time and is definitely worth the investment.

I researched all my options for step benches and this had more to offer than the rest. The black & grey color of this version is a huge improvement over the cheaper multi-colored outdated version, I'd pay more for something that looks 100% better. I like the multi functional use as a weight bench.

I just purchased The Step F 1053, and it is nice quality. I got it at Walmart for under $30!
