a step upApr 24, 2008 This step is pretty good-- light-weight and easy to store. I work out in a carpeted room, and have no trouble with tilting or slipping. You can use the step alone or with the base pieces. It's nice to have the two-level option. It comes with two workout DVDs, but I haven't checked them out. I DVR the Denise Austin daily workout (NESN at 7 am where I live) and use the step whenever she features a step session. The only improvement to this product would be if the top had a rubber tread surface to quiet the sound of one's foot-fall. Good product for the price; I'm glad I got it.

Not bad, but not perfectApr 10, 2008 Quality of materials seems fine. I agree with the other poster who said this step is too short to lie on for weight work. What a dilemma - the full size club step is too big for many home exercisers to use in their living rooms and this one is too short to be fully functional - seems like the manufacturer could have researched this and planned better! Would also like to see it sold with more risers (or be able to buy extra risers separately at a reasonable price). The DVD included in the package contains three Cathe Friedrich step workouts (Basic Step, Body Fusion, Low Impact Step), which is a great deal for the price.

Great space saverApr 07, 2008 This step serves its purpose as a convenient space saver, as I exercise in my tiny living room. I have used it for about one month now and I noticed a weak or "soft" spot on the step, when I step directly over the height ring. The plastic doesn't seem hard enough, and I'm just 105 pounds, so I know it's not caving due to my weight. Another issue I have with this step is that I am unable to lay on the step for chest presses or flies, since it's not long enough for my torso (I'm 5'2"), but I know I shouldn't expect it to be appropiate for chest presses. Overall, its an OK product since it works for most of my fitness routine.
